Answer the question, embrace the future!
Life presents us choices ... often. The quality of our life is based upon our ability to make the right decisions. Integrity is exposed when character is questioned. It is another question and another answer. The thread of life is only interrupted when our ability to choose is confused. God is not the Author of confusion. God's plan is never incomplete, only our decision to follow ... Him.
So Jesus faced these scathing questions also, someone attempting to alter His course of ultimate victory. The question was ... piously, "what is the greatest commandment of the law? Well we know there are many commandments. The discourse of the early Old Testament outline infinites rules, ceremonies. These were all instituted because of the unclean and hopeless. They were not sole based upon their decisions because the reward of salvation was not yet made available. Many commandments. How can one be greater than the other, that would equal the law of diminishing value. But Jesus knew their hearts, and His reply was in the tws version. Love God, Love His Creation. Love God, Love people. Love God, Love your neighbor. He continued, "and all of the other hangs upon these.
There are many promises available to those that keep the first. Love God, Love your Neighbor. And then ... all else is yours.
What is the greatest commandment? This is to you and me. I hope we have the right answer or all else is not ours. Answer the question, embrace the future! When we get the right answer and obey then the future belongs to us.
That is the great miracle of First Apostolic Church and New Life Worship Center. It really boils down to a question. What is the greatest? The greatest to us. Our highest priority, our most consoled possession. Do we hold things loosely in the hands of God or do we assume ownershsip beyond God's plan? It all answers the question. As we embrace this Heavenly gift, we will realize the promise of the future. Answer, Embrace!
